ClawTab 0.6.2: One Message Bar for Your Coding Agents
Handle agent questions, permission prompts, updates, and completion messages in one bar. Reply from a card, inspect recent output, or open the session.
Introduction
When several coding agents are running, the next question can be in any terminal. ClawTab 0.6.2 brings those questions into one message bar on your Mac, alongside permission prompts, updates, and completion messages.
Read what an agent needs, answer from the card, or open its session when you need more context. Claude Code, Codex, and OpenCode keep running in their existing terminals.
The 66-second demo shows a permission card, opening its session, keyboard navigation through messages, the queue and task list, and continuing from an iPhone.
Answer where the question appears
A question card shows the agent, its message, and the available answer choices. Open Reply to type an answer, then send it with Command+Enter. Details adds the full message, attachments, and recent terminal output when the short version is not enough.
Open returns to the originating conversation. You can use the terminal for a longer exchange, then come back to the bar for the next agent. Messages from the same conversation share a card with the latest actions.
Moving between cards keeps your reply drafts. A new request queues behind the card you are reading. If an answer fails, its error and draft return to the queue so you can retry.
Work through the queue with the keyboard
Ctrl+Option+W focuses the bar from another app. Use h and l to browse cards, o to open the session, d for Details, and r for Reply. Double-tap Option while the bar has focus to toggle button hints. Reply fields keep normal text editing.
The list button opens Pending and History. Search for a message, dismiss a selection you have already handled, or ignore a noisy agent. Dismiss keeps the record in History without sending an answer. Collapsing the bar also leaves the question pending.
The screenshot shows the recorded Pending view, including search and the Ignored agents tab. It makes the queue available as a list when browsing one card at a time is too slow.
Search pending messages or switch to History and Ignored agents.
Keep up when you leave your Mac
Pending messages can follow you to mobile after 60 seconds without keyboard or mouse activity, or when the Mac locks or its screen sleeps. Messages arriving while it is already idle go to mobile immediately. Answering or dismissing the message stops escalation.
Web and iOS use the shared message cards and route replies to the originating host. Telegram is also available when configured. The message bar guide explains delivery settings and immediate mobile delivery.
Web Remote is deployed separately. The 0.6.2 host and desktop release does not publish a new iPhone or Android store build; native mobile changes arrive with their corresponding app update.
Let scripts ask for a decision
The same queue is available to scripts and agent workflows through cwt message. Give a question named choices and wait for its response:
The message bar runs on macOS 12 or later and belongs to the background daemon. You can keep the desktop app closed or leave it uninstalled. The task indicator beside the messages also opens a checklist that can stay linked to an existing Markdown note.
Update the host with Homebrew. If you use the optional desktop app, update its separate cask as well. This release installs the CLI as cwt in place of cwtctl, so update scripts that use the old executable name.
brew update
brew upgrade --cask tonisives/tap/clawtab
# If you use the optional desktop app:
brew upgrade --cask tonisives/tap/clawtab-desktop
Frequently Asked Questions

No. Collapsing leaves the message pending. Choose an answer or send a reply to respond; Dismiss moves it to History without answering.
Yes. Use cwt message send with --wait and optional --choice arguments. The command returns the stored message and response. A wait timeout leaves the message pending.
